We strongly recommend that you upload your documents yourself, use your own e-mail address when registering your application and correspond directly with us.
You are liable for all the documentation you submit, that they are accurate and that the information is unaltered.
Wrongful or misleading information may lead to dismissal and loss of the right to study. Submission of fraudulent documents is illegal and will be reported to the authorities.
If you do not have education from a country listed below, you must upload your educational documents in the online application portal within the deadline.
Secondary education
For applicants with secondary education from Cameroon, official diplomas and transcripts must be sent in a sealed envelope directly from the school.
Pakistan: Original verification by the IBCC of your diploma and transcripts from secondary education must also be sent to us. If you are submitting copies of your original documents, the copies must be verified (we need the original verification stamp).
For applicants with secondary education from the USA or from an international American high school, official transcripts from high school must be sent in a sealed envelope directly from the school. Results from AP exams must be sent to us in a sealed envelope directly from College Board.
For applicants with secondary education from Canada or from an international Canadian high school, official transcripts from high school must be sent in a sealed envelope directly from the school.
Applicants with secondary education from Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Liberia, Ghana or Gambia need to submit a scratch card / access card from WAEC (West African Examination Council) or NECO (National Examination Council).
If you are an IB graduate, you must fill in the ‘Request for Result Service’ form with your IB-coordinator so we can assess your IB results online.
Secondary education and Huikao, General Ability Test, High School Academic Profiency Test from China must be verified by CHSI/CSSD and uploaded to the application.
Higher education
Your university education must be accredited as higher education in Norway. You can check your university at World Higher Education Database (Whed.net)and anabin.kmk.org. Nord University can also consult the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills.
The Admissions Office at Nord University always verifies uploaded diplomas and transcripts with the issuing school/institution. If we are unable to verify your qualifications, you will not be offered admission.
Official academic transcripts of higher education from institutions in Bangladesh, Canada, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, Philippines, Ghana, Cameroon, India, Nepal, Macau, Nigeria, Sudan, Taiwan and the USA must be sent in a sealed envelope by post directly from the college/university.
Applicants with education from Pakistan need to send HEC verification of all documentation related to higher education by post.
Translations of all diplomas and transcripts, both secondary and higher education, from education done in Iran, must be carried out by Official Translators of the Justice Administration in Iran (The Iranian Ministry of Justice). The translations must include the original stamp of "Department of Official Translator's Affairs" and must be uploaded in your application.

Higher education from China must be verified by CHSI/CSSD and uploaded to the application.
Educational documentation from some countries must be sent by post to us. The documentation must be submitted and postmarked before the deadline.
If you are sending the documents via DHL or another courier service, please ensure they are addressed to our office.

You must upload an official translation of documentation not provided in English, Swedish, Danish or Norwegian. Only translations carried out by a government authorized or otherwise accredited translator will be considered. You must also include a copy of the original document.
All documentation should be uploaded in a pdf-file with a descriptive name.
Scans of your officially issued original transcripts and diplomas for your secondary and university/college education must be uploaded. If there is any information at the back of the pages, scans of both pages must be uploaded.
It is very important that the scans are readable and that the whole pages are visible, which means that all corners of the documents need to be visible.
If your original documents are composed in colour, the copies must also be composed in colour.
Applications without documentation will not be assessed.We require that the test results from your english test are valid and verifiable online or that they are sent directly from the test centre. The test cannot be older than 2 years.
Nord University's TOEFL code is 1648.
There are different requirements regarding english proficiency depending on what study level you are planning on undertake. For more information on how to meet the english requirements see this page.
In addition to tuition fees, applicants from countries outside EU/EEA must provide proof of funding to show that applicants is able to sustain themselves while studying in Norway in order to obtain a study permit.
Applications without required documentation or without proof of funding will be rejected.
Upload proof of funds for living expenses when submitting your application. The required amount documents your financial ability, which is necessary for applying for a study permit.
Who must document financial ability?
- International applicants (citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA) who do not already have a residence permit in Norway, must document proof of financial ability.
- Foreign applicants residing in Norway on work visa, Protection (Refugee Status), Permanent Residency or long-term Marriage/Family visa: please upload a copy of your Residence Permit as proof of financial ability.
- Norwegian citizens: you are exempted from documenting proof of financial ability. Please upload a copy of your Norwegian passport as proof of citizenship
- The amount you must provide is currently NOK 166 859 for one academic year (subject to change)
We only accept the following documentation:
- An original bank statement in your name (stamped, signed and dated by a bank official). The statement must have been issued within the last 3 months or,
- A confirmation letter from your sponsor and an original bank statement in your sponsor's name (stamped, signed and dated by a bank official). The confirmation letter and bank statement must have been issued within the last 3 months.
Payslips will not be accepted as proof of funding.

If your documents are composed in another language than English, Norwegian, Swedish or Danish, you must provide a translation. The original document has to be uploaded with the translation. The translation has to be carried out by a government-authorized or otherwise accredited translator.
The Admissions Office do not archive documents received by post for more than one year.
You can check what documents are available for us, in your online application under "my documents". Outdated documentation must be uploaded again (passport, English test, name-change etc).Nord University can ask to see your original documents for the purpose of inspection.
It is therefore important that you bring your educational documents to Norway if you are granted admission. You are required to present your original diplomas and transcripts for inspection upon arrival at the university.
