Search for journals in channel register

Approved publication channels are indexed in the channel register of HK-dir. Here you can also search for Open Access journals or journals that are included in Nord's publishing agreements.

General instructions: How to search in the channel register of HK-dir

Go to the channel register of HK-dir
Switch to advanced search by clicking on the "Search" button

Advanced search (filters)

Select your Scientific field
Scientific Level: Select "All" or "All approved (levels 1 and 2)"
Select
1. "Indexed in DOAJ" (under Indexing) to find pure Open Access (OA) journals
2. "Included in publishing agreement" (under Agreements) to find journals that are included in national OA publishing agreements
3. or let the field be empty for both of them

- Go to the channel register of HK-dir and switch to advanced search
- Choose a scientific field and evtl. "All approved (levels 1 and 2)"
- Choose "Indexed" under Indexing to search for pure OA journals. When a journal is registered in DOAJ, you can apply to Nord's OA Fund and potentially get the publishing fee covered.
- You will get up a list of results that matches the chosen criteria
- By clicking on one of the results you will get relevant information about the journal in question. This includes a link to the journal in DOAJ
- Go to the channel register of HK-dir and switch to advanced search
- Choose a scientific field and evtl. "All approved (levels 1 and 2)"
- Choose "Included in agreement" under Agreements to search for journals that are included in an OA publishing agreement.
- You will get up a list of results that matches the chosen criteria
- By clicking on one of the results you will get relevant information about the journal in question. This includes information about the journal being included in a publishing agreement.
- Click "+ Show who is included in the agreement" to see if Nord University participates in the agreement. If Nord University participates, you will find detailed information on our website about OA publishing agreements. There you will also find the link to a title list for every publisher. Please note that there can be inaccuracies in the channel register; you should therefore always double check if your chosen journal is included in the title list!
- Please note: Publisher information is not always updated in the channel register. You might therefore experience that different publishers are stated under Basic information and the publishing agreement. In general, information about the publishing agreement is correct.
