I am a linguist and have a PhD in general linguistics with a focus on South Sami.

I grew up in Germany, I have lived in Sweden for a long time and now live on a farm in Tynset. I mainly work from home.

During my doctoral studies I wrote a grammar for South Sami based on the spoken language of older South Sami speakers. I have also worked in various typological projects on databases.

I have previously been teaching South Saami various times in different settings, also at Nord university.

My mother tongue is German, I speak Swedish, English, and a little South Saami and I write Norwegian.

I work in the NFR-funded research project RePrEd, which focuses on the revitalization of South Sami in school settings. I am primarily interested in grammar, how the language develops, and linguistic variation.
