On successful completion of the course:
Knowledge: The student should:
- Have basic knowledge about the evolution and current status of biodiversity.
- Be able to identify different theories and methods within the study of systematics and phylogeny.
- Know basicresearch methods and topics within the field
- Know central research within the field of biodiversity
Skills The student should:
- Be able to apply scientific knowledge in the study of biodiversity
- Be capable of updating their knowledge within the field of biodiversity
- Be able to approach problems and make decisions regarding biodiversity based on scientific knowledge
General competence: The student should:
- Have insight into relevant issues with in the field of biodiversity
- Have basic taxonomic insight of regionally common organisms
- Be able to exchange knowledge and viewpoints within the community of the field
Due to the Covid-19 epedemic, a number of assessments and exams at Nord University has been changed.
Changes are made in accordance with the Temporary Regulations on Supplements to Regulation 31/01/2019 no. 63: Concerning Studies and Examinations at Nord University - Extraordinary Measures as a Result of the Coronavirus Epidemic- according to §2 of the Corona Epidemic, Assessment Methods, Sections 1-3
To accommodate this, the form of assessment will be changed to home examination (3 Hours) on this course in the spring of 2020.
