The subject is reserved for students of the following study programmes:
- Nature Management, Bachelor's Programme

After completed course, the student is expected to possess the following:
Knowledge:
- how to organize fieldwork and harvest data in Norwegian ecosytems
- recognize methology issues and be able to consider different solutions
Skills:
- have a theoretical and practical understanding of methods and tools used in data collection and analyzing
- be able to present results both in writing and oral, and manage to point out pros and cons in the data material
General competence:
- how to use field data in nature management
Compound assessment
- Compulsory participation. Approved/ Not approved. Must be passed prior to submission of the take-home examination 2, individual.
- Take- home examination 1, individual, 4 days, comprises 50% of the grade, grading scale A-F.
- Take- home examination 2, individual, 2 days, comprises 50% of the grade, grading scale A-F.
Home exam: All aids permitted.
Generating an answer using ChatGPT or similar artificial intelligence and submitting it wholly or partially as one's own answer is considered cheating.
Overlap refers to a similarity between courses with the same content. Therefore, you will receive the following reduction in credits if you have taken the courses listed below:
NAT240 - Nature Registration Methods - 15 credits
NAF2001 - Nature registration methods 1 - 7.5 credits
NAF2002 - Nature Registration Methods 2 - 7.5 credits
NAF2004 - Nature Monitoring - 7.5 credits
