Vocational Didactics 2

The course addresses further studies of national and international research on occupational didactics from Occupational Didactics 1. Key elements of the course will be professional identity and practice in one’s own field of vocational subjects, as well as inclusion and diversity in vocational upper secondary school.
Occupational Didactics 1 must be passed in order to start Occupational Didactics 2

Knowledge

The student:

  • has in-depth knowledge about research in the occupational didactic field and will be able to relate analytically to the research.
  • has knowledge about innovative forms of work in vocational training
  • has insight and understanding of occupational didactics from an international perspective

Skills

The student:

  • can reflect on their own practical vocational experience in both written and oral forms
  • can analyse issues based on the professional identity and practice found within the field of vocational subjects
  • can assess different models of vocational training

General competence

The student:

  • will have knowledge about and use innovation and innovative processes in the field of vocational education
  • can investigate relevant issues and contribute new knowledge in occupational didactics
  • can convey experiences and results from relevant occupational didactic research
No fees other than semester fees and course literature
Compulsory

Two sessions during the semester - each lasting 3 days.

In addition to physical sessions, teaching will be organised through webinars, online meetings, collaborative writing, flipped classroom, colleague-based guidance and assessment.

Active participation and collaboration between students are prerequisites for achieving the course’s learning outcomes. It provides expertise that students cannot acquire in any other way.

The course is evaluated annually by the students in course surveys. These evaluations are part of the University’s quality assurance system.
Composite assessment (SV), grading scale A to E and approved/not approved. All teaching and examination activities must be passed/approved in order to pass the course as a whole.
  • Compulsory participation (OD), with a minimum of 80% participation required, represents 0/100 of the grade. Grading scale: Approved/not approved.
  • Coursework 1 (AK1), represents 0/100 of the grade, grading scale: Approved/not approved.
  • Coursework 2 (AK2), represents 0/100 of the grade, grading scale: Approved/not approved.
  • Assignment (OP), grading scale A to F, where A is the best grade and F is a fail. Represents 100/100 of the grade.
