DYR2001
The course covers the most common diseases in dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets.
For students admitted to the Bachelor in Veterinary Nursing at Nord only.
The following subjects must be passed before enrollment:
- DYR1002
- DYR1003
For students admitted to the Bachelor in Veterinary Nursing at Nord only.
DYR 1002 passed before entering.
Knowledge
- has broad and basic knowledge of the most common diseases, injuries and disorders in dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets
- have knowledge about research and development in the field
- of where and how to update his/her knowledge in the field
Skills
- master relevant terminology
- can apply knowledge of pathology on both theoretical and practical problems and to decide on the basis of professional knowlegde
General Competencies
- have insight into and can reflect upon ethical consequences, challenges and animal welfare due to medical treatment of animals
- can discuss animal health and welfare issues with others
- is able to find, evaluate and convey theories, facts and problems both orally and in writing
No tuition fees. Costs for semester registration and course literature apply. The university require that students have a laptop.
