In this elective course the student will develop its collaboration competense, a skill that is increasingly sought in the work life. They get training in how to work creative and constructively in teams and in how they can complete a project with a good result.

In this elective course the student will develop its collaboration competense, a skill that is increasingly sought in the work life. They get training in how to work creative and constructively in teams and in how they can complete a project with a good result.

During the semester, the students will work in a team with a project, and actively reflect on the cooperation process along the way. Students get training in identifying, managing and evaluating situations that arise in team work.

In the project, the students will use their different skills and experiences in new ways, in order to identify problems and find solutions that solves real life challenges. The students will be trained in an entrepreneurial mindset, where activity, new solutions and implementation are central.

The course is offered in cooperation with the Engage Center for Entrepreneurship in Education: www.engage-centre.no/

It is possible to apply for admission to the course as a single course. There are reservations about the available capacity on the course. The applicant must meet the current admission requirements for the Master of Science in Business program.

Knowledge

  • The student can explain the assumptions for good team work, and utilize the knowledge to reflect on the work in its own team.
  • The student can reflect on how one's own and other's behavioral patterns and way of being influence a cooperation.
  • The student can apply relevant concepts and basic group theory to analyze experienced collaborative situations and how they work with the project.

Skills

  • The student can take action that stimulates cooperation, and can help change deconstructive patterns of interactions.
  • The student can provide constructive feedback to others and reflect on feedback from others.
  • The student can apply their skills in teamwork and collaborate on identifying challenges and finding new solutions to open issues.

General competence

  • The student has expanded its perspective on its own professional competence, and is able to convey and apply it in conjunction with others with different academic qualifications and backgrounds.
  • The student is trained to relate to external partners in constructive manner
  • The student has the ability to present solutions for external actors in a good way.

  • Fasilitated and mentored group work where the students work with a concrete project

  • Reflection writing 
The programme is evaluated accirding to the university's quality assurance system.
  • Work requirement that is a cooperation agreement
  • Work requirement consisting of an individual reflection note
  • Written assignment including a project deliverance including a project report and process report. 
  • Compulsory participation in minimum 80% of teaching days. 
All examination aids allowed
