Friluftsliv theory provides students with a basic theoretical introduction to the subject of friluftsliv.
Through this course, the student will gain an increased understanding of friluftsliv as a societal phenomenon. The history, traditions and development of friluftsliv, risk managing and outdoor life pedagogy

The admission requirement is Higher Education Entrance Qualification.

This semester package is mainly offered to exchange students from our partner universities.

Exchange students are admitted on the basis of nomination by their home institution. The student must first be nominated by their home institution before they can apply to the semester package. After the nomination is received by Nord University the student will receive information about the admission process.

For others it is possible to apply for admission to the course as a single-course, but note that the admission is restricted. You will find more information on how to apply for admission to a single-course on the Admissions Office's information pages.

No tuition fees. Semester fees and cost of course literature apply.
Theoretical
The course contains 10-15 teaching days distributed throughout the autumn semester. A large part of the teaching will be lecture-based, with elements of group work and trips in the local environment.
The study program is evaluated annually by the students through course surveys (mid-term evaluation and final evaluation). Evaluation is part of the university's quality assurance system.

Oral examination. Individuel, grading scale

Letter grades A-E for pass, F for fail

Overlap refers to a similarity between courses with the same content. Therefore, you will receive the following reduction in credits if you have taken the courses listed below:
