eHealth: Digital Collaboration and Documentation
This course aims to provide knowledge about legal framework and relevant framework for digital documentation and collaboration in healthcare. The course problematizes conditions and practice of documentation of healthcare in electronic patient records (EHR systems) with terminologies and standards, digital information management of health information and digital interaction (for example e-messaging). Role and role understanding between different participants use of E-health solutions is central.Furthermore, the course provides in-depth insight into user perspectives in digital interaction and documentation practice, as well as into patient safety and computer security. The course will generally have ethical reflection in its approach to various issues.
The course is part of the Master of Health Sciences. It can also be taken as a stand-alone course, or as the first part of a further education of 30 credits (E-health)
Knowledge:
- Has in-depth knowledge of laws and guidelines that regulate information data and handling of personal sensitive data in the healthcare services
- Has in-depth knowledge of digital collaborative solutions and strategies for their use in the healtcare services.
- Can operationalize knowledge of strategies, standards and terminologies in development and use of documentation systems aiming to promote health and user participation.
- Has specialized knowledge of quality ensurence and user involvement as well as patient safety and data security related to the use of e-health solutions.
Skills:
- Can analyze and be critical of digital collaboration and documentation solutions
- Can use knowledge of digital documentation and collaboration in independent work with issues within digital collaboration and user involvement
- Can be critical of role and role understanding in digital information management
General competences:
- Can apply knowledge of digital documentation and collaboration solutions related to data security, patient security, participation and ethics
- Can analyze digital solutions in relation to professional soundness
It is one work requirement (AK) carried out as a group assignement in the course. Assessment: Approved / not approved. AK must be approved before the final grade is given in the course
The exam is an individual assignment (OP) which takes place as a project over the teaching period. Assessment terms: A-F
The exam assignment can be submitted in Scandinavian language or in English.
The exam answer must always be made by the candidate personally.
