Placement Abroad in International Marketing

A 15 week work placement, relevant within the field of the bachelor's programme.
Completion of the first two years of the bachelor's programme International Marketing with satisfactory results, normally an average grade of C. Certain deadlines apply to work placements. See the placement handbook (Canvas) for more details.
Requires two years progression in the bachelor programme. Placement abroad normally requires an average grade of C.

On successful completion of the course:

Knowledge and understanding

The student should:

  • have a better understanding of the social conditions, the culture and the business mentality in the country concerned.
  • be familiar with the host country's culture, living and working life.

Skills

The student should:

  • be able to apply knowledge acquired during the first two years of the study programme, by acquiring supervised and relevant work experience at the host company
  • practice and improve language skills while working in a foreign-language situation; both oral and written

General Competence

The student should:

  • be able to gain working experience relevant for his or her through meaningful and personal activity
  • be able to gain working experience in a foreign-language work situation
Costs: Depends on the student's choice of country.
Elective course
Supervision by the host company and the course coordinator.
The study programme is evaluated annually by students by way of course evaluation studies. These evaluations are included in the university's quality assurance system.
