The subject is a practice topic. In the practical studies, the students will gain experience in establishing contact with children and families, as well as investigate / investigate, assess and make decisions in child welfare cases.

Furthermore, the student will participate in collaborative meetings and gain knowledge of interdisciplinary collaboration at the individual and system level.
The student must be admitted to the bachelor's program in child welfare. All courses in 1 and 2 semesters must be passed in order to take the course.
Knowledge: The student has knowledge of:
- the tasks, role and function of the relevant organization / institution in which he / she is deployed
- the organization's / institution's place as part of welfare services
- key child welfare issues, issues and processes family and networking work

Semester fee and literature. Students must expect some expenses related to transportation, boarding and lodging.
Compulsory
Teaching face-to-face, seminars and work in smaller groups and practical social work. There is compulsory attendance at practice preparation courses and sessions, consisting of lectures and group work. Parts of practice preparation courses take place in the third semester. There is mandatory attendance in practice. See separate rules of practice. Deployment in practice lasts the entire 4th semester (20 weeks). It is also possible to have the period of practice abroad. The study program is evaluated annually by the students through subject studies. Evaluation is part of the university's quality system.
The course consists of 20 weeks of practice in the fourth semester.
The course consists of 20 weeks of practice, as well as two work requirements, mandatory 80% participation and one assignment. All parts of the course must be passed to get the course approved.
