Bachelor's Thesis
The students write a bachelor assignment based on empirical data from the field of child welfare. The project period lasts for 8 weeks, and during this period the students will conduct an empirical study and present their results in a written assignment.
The work will be carried out in groups of 2-3 students. On special occasions (for health or social reasons), the students may apply for exemption from the requirement of group work. Students must write an application, stating the reasons and enclose relevant documentation for the exemption. Applications are to be sent by mail to the course responsible by the end of January the same semester. Before the project period, there will be a minimum of 2 lectures of 3 hours in which students are introduced to the work to be done during the project period. Each group receives up to 4 hours of supervision. Topic and issues for the assignment are worked out in cooperation with the course responsible and supervisor, and must be relevant to social work with children and families.
