Bachelor's Thesis
Students will write an individual thesis on the basis of empirical material derived from the social work field or a theoretical thesis related to social work. In the course of an eight week project period, students will undertake a study that shall be presented as a written work. The thesis shall account for the academic field, the question addressed, the method used, an analysis and conclusions.
Tutoring is given both individually and in groups. The themes and questions addressed in the thesis are prepared in cooperation with the course supervisor and the tutor, and must be relevant to social work.
Prior to the project period, a minimum of two lectures of 3 hours duration will be arranged in which students will be introduced to the work which is expected.
The thesis must not exceed 25 sides of text. References and addenda are additional.

- Of research and development work within the ambit of the theme
- Of differing theories and methods relevant to the theme

- To apply professional and theoretical knowledge and relevant results of research and development work to theoretical questions
- To acquire new, up-to-date knowledge
- To be able to locate, evaluate and refer to information and academic work, and to present these to illuminate a question of interest
General competence
- To be able to mediate professional work including theories, research questions, discussion and conclusions in writing
- To be able to exchange viewpoints and experiences with others with a background in the same thematic field, and so contribute to the development of good practice
