Bachelor's Thesis in Sociology and Social Science Analysis

SOS2001
In the work on the bachelor thesis, the student will take as a starting point a chosen problem, and work his way through the phases of the research process to answer this in line with academic standards. The evaluation of the work will emphasize the student's ability to carry out a research process in line with academic requirements: a researchable problem, choice of relevant theory and method, a valid and credible implementation of the research process, awareness of research ethics, analytical skills, documentation, and written presentation ability.

The bachelor thesis is a small and independent research project, where the student chooses the research topic. The thesis can be carried out as a minor empirical study or as a limited literature / document study.

The thesis should be 10,000-12,000 words (25-30 pages). By agreement with the course coordinator, a thesis can be written by two students. It must be documented which part (s) of the assignment the individual student is responsible for, and the assignment must be 14,000-16,000 words (35-40 pages).

No costs except semester registration fee and course literature. It is required that students possess their own laptop.
