Through the analysis of an international set of texts written in and translated into English, students develop skills in cross-cultural communication and in the use of English as an academic, aesthetic, and potentially decolonizing lingua franca in Norway and beyond.
The course is compulsory in the package Experience English Language and Literature in the autumn of 2022. The course can also be taken separately by international exchange students at Nord, campus Bodø.

No costs except semester fee.
The course is compulsory in the semesterpackage Experience English Language and Literature: Autumn Package. The course can also be taken as a separate course by international exchange students.
Weekly classes on speaking, listening, writing, and reading comprehension. Required course materials will be made available on Canvas. Participation is not compulsory, although students must deliver one oral presentation to a passing standard in order to be eligible for the examination.
The study program is evaluated annually by the students through course evaluations and study program evaluation. These evaluations are included as part of the university's quality assurance system.
