This course focuses on Lule Saami phonology, morphology, syntax and morphosyntax.
Successfully completed/passed Lule Saami 1 (1LU) and Lule Saami 2 (LU2).

Knowledge
The student will
- have a good understanding of Lule Saami grammar, with emphasis on phonology, morphology and syntax
- have an understanding of how morphology affects syntax in Lule Saami
Skills
The student will
- be able to analyze Lule Saami texts with respect to morphology and syntax
- be able to use a theoretical approach to the analysis
General competence
The student will
- be able to communicate relevant subject matter and information about the Lule Saami language
- develop and strengthen one's own language competence
No costs beyond semester registration fees. Students must cover the costs associated with literature/books, as well as travel and lodging in connection with study-gatherings.
Obligatory
Teaching will take place at several gatherings. The language of teaching and communication will, to the greatest extent possible, be Lule Saami.
Teaching will consist of a combination of different learning activities, including lectures, group work and independent work. Active participation on the part of the students is expected. Students are expected to be present at lectures and to actively contribute to discussions.
The study program is evaluated annually by the students through subject surveys. Evaluation is part of the university's quality assurance system.
No
The course has a composite assessment (SV) consisting of:
- Required work (AK) - up to 3 mandatory assignments. These are evaluated as pass/fail. They count for 0/100 of the total grade for the course.
- Home exam (HJ) - evaluated based on letter grades A-F, where A is the best and F is a failing grade. It counts for 100/100 of the total grade for the course.
- Both AK and HJ must be passed for the entire course to be considered passed.
The language of the exam is Lule Saami.
