Music 2

TEA2002
The course develops the students' musical and creative skills.  It strengthens their performing skills, their ability to create and integrate musical material into their own theater work, and further develops their ensemble skills.  The subject strengthens awareness of music as an important co- narrative element in theater and film and musical skills as an integral part of one's own acting skills.

The course has 3 components: Singing, Composing and Ensemble Playing.

Singing is a continuation of Music 1’s focus on singing technique and voice care, but with smaller groups, solo singing and a wider range of genres.

Composing develops the work in Music 1, with a focus on composing specifically for theater and film. Students get insight into different perspectives for methods of composing and an understanding of music as a co- narrator in theater and film.
