Technique and Acting 3

TEA2008

Exploration of different artistic directions in different forms, e.g. physical theatre, figure theatre, text-based theatre, documentary theater, creative writing. Different production methods and framing methods.

Monologue and/or dialogue work as part of preparation for auditions.

In addition to the semester fee and curriculum literature, it is assumed that the student has a laptop computer at his disposal. Material fee NOK 1,000 per semester.
Improvisation classes according to the master principle. Investigation through a bodily, voice-related approach. Analysis of improvisation and literary and dramatic text. Reflection on the work. Joint reflection on work process and observation. Creation for display.

The study is evaluated at the end of each semester, through: 1. Staff's individual conversations with the students 2. Joint evaluation in each class 3. Staff's own evaluation.

The study program is evaluated annually by the students through course evaluations and study program evaluation. The evaluations are included as part of the University's quality assurance system.

Overall assessment

Practical exam in a group with individual assessment. Duration up to 6 hours. Grading scale Pass/Fail. Counts 100/100.

Compulsory participation 90%. Approved/not approved. Compulsory participation must be approved in order to receive a final grade in the course.

On the basis of the students' work, they are assessed at the end of the semesters. There will be a final evaluation related to screening in the 2nd semester just before the end of the academic year. On the diploma, the grade in the subjects acting technique 1, acting technique 2 and acting technique 3 will be combined into one grade.
