An-Magritt Steinset Kummeneje
An-Magritt Kummeneje is an Associate Professor in Mobility and Transport, and Research Coordinator at the Traffic Research Group, where she has been employed since 2022. Her area of expertise is traffic and transport psychology. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences with a specialization in Psychology from 2020, and a Master’s degree in Social and Community Psychology from 2010, both from NTNU.
From 2010 to 2022, Kummeneje was a researcher at SINTEF Community, Department of Mobility, where she worked on topics such as vulnerable road user groups, driver assistance systems, older drivers, youth and speeding, driver training, private driving practice, and universal design in public transport.
Kummeneje primarily teaches in the fields of traffic and transport psychology and research methodology in the Driving Teacher Education program and the one-year program leading to a Bachelor's degree in Traffic Pedagogy and Traffic Safety.
She is the course coordinator for TRA1006 Traffic Psychology and teaches the following subjects:

Kummeneje is also a guest lecturer in traffic psychology and serves as an external examiner at the Department of Psychology, NTNU.
Kummeneje has extensive experience as a researcher in mobility and transport, and has been investigating psychological issues related to traffic and transportation since 2010. Her main research interests include risk perception and safety among vulnerable road user groups.
