Dr. Anna Trubetskaya graduated with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Technical University of Denmark in 2016, M.Sc. in Bio-Engineering at University of Kassel, Germany (2011), and Biotechnology & Process Engineering at University of Applied Sciences Flensburg, Germany (2009). Currently, I undertake MBA at the Warwick Business School specializing in climate entrepreneurship and sustainable management. She is an author > 50 scientific articles with the h-index = 23 (google scholar). She worked in the bio- and material sciences, energy sector and chemical engineering in the US, Ireland, Germany, Finland, Denmark and currently in Norway. I am open for both fundamental research and commercialisation.

Anna is a director of the BSc program in "Sustainable bioproduction" at the Nord University. She is also teaching "Biomaterials" and "Biochemistry & Biomolecular Sciences" classes within "Forestry" and "Sustainable bioproduction" BSc programs. Since Anna graduated from The Centre for Educational Development at the Luleå University of Technology / KTH Stockholm in 2017, she has participated in development of Lean Six Sigma and Industrial Manufacturing program at the University of Limerick and has extensively supervised MSc students from the industry, e.g., medical and biomedical manufacturing, and pharmaceutical sectors. She has also given several guest lectures at MIT, University of Galway, and Trinity College Dublin.

An essential part of my research is conducted in very close collaboration with industrial enterprises and research organisations worldwide. Sustainable energy- and cost-efficient processes are investigated from engineering and business prospective in my research group. Life cycle assessment and Lean Six Sigma manufacturing methods form an essential part of research activities. The development of novel processes in biomaterial fractionation, plastic recycling, bioplastic and biofuel production are important integratives of my research aiming to foster circular economy and secure sustainable and resilient manufacturing. The application of biomaterials in biomedical, medical, water and energy sectors are of particular interest to my research group.
