Associate Professor at Nord University, Norway, teaching Norwegian (initial teacher training), with a Cand Philol degree from the Univeristy of Tromsø 1997. Employed at Nesna University College, now Nord University since 1997. After January 1st 2026 emeritus.


In 2024 and 2025 I have been visiting Professor at the University of Craiova for one month each year.

Lecturer in teacher- and kindergaten teacher education, focusing on early learning, language developing, reading and writing, storytelling and creative writing, as well as using the outdoor environment for teaching. Supervising master, bachelor and FoU-theses.


Experience of using English as a language of instruction.

CoastARTS, an European HERA project focusing on seabird mortality

Rural Educational Landscapes (REL), focus area is folklore


Nordic and Baltic childhood and culture in a global perspective: a Nordic-Baltic network with intensive courses for students from kindergarten teacher education.
