I am a theoretical linguist, working as Associate Professor of English Language and Linguistics at Nord University. I am also the leader of the Nord University Linguistics research group. I received a PhD in linguistics from MIT in 2020, and came to Norway in 2024. My full CV listing all my projects and activities is posted on my personal website.

I have taught a variety of courses in (English) linguistics, dealing with topics such as syntax, morphology, phonetics/phonology, semantics, pragmatics, and language acquisition. For a record of my teaching experience, see my CV on my personal website. In addition to my usual teaching, I am available to supervise students at any level on a wide range of topics in linguistics.

I research linguistic theory with a focus on syntax, morphology, and the general principles of language that they reveal. I do this using data from English and a wide variety of other languages from across the world. My peer-reviewed publications are listed in the next section of this page. For a full list of my papers, presentations, and other activities, see my CV posted on my personal website.
