Helene Waage

Helene Waage is an Associate Professor at the Norwegian Centre for Arts and Health. She teaches and contributes to professional development in the educational program Music-based caregiving. Helene holds a PhD from the University of Agder, where she researched co-singing in daily life for people with dementia and their relatives. She has also contributed a chapter to the anthology Samsang gjennom livsløpet (Co-singing throughout life).
Helene holds both performance and academic degrees in music from the Norwegian Academy of Music and the University of Oslo. She has extensive experience as a versatile performing musician (cello, voice, Celtic harp) and as a therapeutic musician in elderly and dementia care.
