June Borge Doornich
Doornich holds a Master of Business Administration and a PhD in Business Administration. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Business School of Nord University.
Her research focuses on international trade and the interplay between trade and geopolitics. She has published in several reputable international scientific journals and communicated her research to both society and the business community. Due to her commitment to disseminating socially relevant research, she received the Dissemination Award at Nord University in 2022.
She has taught strategy and management for many years at the Business School, in both scientific master's programs and experience-based MBAs. She also gives lectures on leadership and strategy to society and the business community. She was awarded the title of Excellent Teaching Practitioner in 2024
Doornich has worked in educational leadership for many years, serving as Program Director and Vice Dean of Education at the Business School. She is currently the head of the National Competence Network for Student Success in Higher Education. She also has many years of leadership experience in the hotel and restaurant industry before starting her PhD. Additionally, she works as a program leader and leadership coach at Northern Norway Leadership Development Academy.
Doornich has a passion for mindfulness, which has motivated her to conduct research on the leadership qualities of a mindful leader. She has published several works on mindful leadership, which have also been recognized and written about in the international journal Forbes.
