Originally from the UK, I am now embracing 'Friluftsliv' in Norway. I have a background in psychology (BSc and MSc), social sciences, and dementia care research (PhD in Dementia and Ageing).

With 15 years of experience in dementia care research, as well as a background in the implementation and innovation of health and care services, I want to contribute to the education of future health personnel.I have supervised both PhD and Masters students and will also begin teaching on the Bachelor in nursing.

Applied reseach to improve the health, well-being and support for older people, people living with dementia, and family / professional caregivers.

My main research areas are:

  1. Developing and evaluating healthcare innovations, including creative, physical activity, and welfare technology interventions.
  2. Understanding and improving support for older people, people living with dementia, and family/professional caregivers.
  3. Improving understanding and increasing public awareness of themes that impact older people.
