I am employed as associate professor in Aquaculture at the Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture of Nord University since April 2022.

My expertise is in fish nutrition and health, functional ingredients, feed additives like vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, enzymes. I have worked with warm water fish like tilapia and carp and also with shrimp.

My background is fish immunology and I gained my expertise in fIsh nutrition during my post doc.

I have worked in the industry for many years, as scientist, principal scientist in fish nutrition and health. I have been in charge of Aquaculture R& D and of Global Innovation for Aquaculture. I have also been for a few years head of the research centre including aquaculture species and land-based animals.

I am in charge of the Aquaculture Nutrition course in the Master of Biosciences.

I am coordinating The Nordic Master on Sustainable Production and Utilisation of Marine Bioresources.

I am part of the FBA's aquaculture research group. I am also responsible for further developing international connections within the FBA. My research will contribute to further develop research in the field of fish nutrition and health at FBA. As a fish nutritionist, I will be involved in research projects in this area, including novel ingredients contributing to the sustainable development of aquaculture.
I will contribute to research in the field of carotenoids, vitamins and minerals. With my background in immunology, I will participate to the development of cell-based assays, as I am very interested in gastrointestinal functionality from a nutritional and health perspective.
