Wenche Kristin Aarseth

Professor in organization and project leadership, with a focus on relationship management. Aarseth is also Professor II at NTNU Department of Industrial economy and Technology management, previously professor in leadership at NTNU Social sciences and at NTNU Faculty of Engineering. She has also been researcher at SINTEF Technology and Industrial management. She has a PhD from NTNU which focused on leadership of complex organizations. Her research background includes infrastructure projects, innovation projects, energy projects, road projects, construction projects, global projects and digitalization projects. Aarseth has a Master of Management degree in strategy from BI Centre for Leadership education, where she also was project manager earlier. Academic interests includes leadership, project leadership, innovation, organizational collaborations, cooperative power, relationship management, sustainability strategies in projects and stakeholder management. Aarseth has been academic responsible for the Project Management Advanced program for the oil and energy company Statoil (now Equinor) for many years, which was tailored for project managers with more than 10 years of experience. Her international experience comes from collaborating with University of California Berkeley and Cranfield School of management on global project management. Aarseth has over twenty years of experience working with some of the largest private and public companies in Norway: Statens vegvesen (the National road authorities), oil and energy company Statoil (now Equinor), finance companies such as DnB NOR and Fokus Bank aswell as Statsbygg (the Norwegian Governments Building commisioner, property manager and developer). She has also experience from a CEO position for the tourist company Destinations Ålesund and Sunnmøre.
