Psychological and Physiological Aspects of Sport and Exercise
The research group is a part of the research division Physical education, sports science, and outdoor education.
The work of the research group focuses on topics within sports psychology, the role of the coach, exercise physiology, and the development of performance in sports. Our research is relevant for the bachelor's degree studies in strength and conditioning and outdoor activities and contributes to research-based education.
We currently work on the following research projects:
- Strength training for performance in sports
- Motivation in young athletes
- Muscle strength and aging
- Effective training for performance in force-demanding sports
Our work aim to:
- Develop projects that provide new knowledge to the field of research
- Develop knowledge that promotes performance development and participation in sports and exercise
- Develop knowledge that increases the quality of our education
