Step 2: Funding

There are several funding sources available for researchers.

Different funders might have different eligibility criteria. Read the information regarding the call carefully to make sure that your project fits into the fund.

If you have any questions regarding the fund, get in touch with your research advisor to find the most suitable programme for your research.

Here you will find more information about some available fundings.

Most of the externally supported projects at Nord University received grants from following funds:

Horizon Europe

The EU's framework programme for research and innovation, Horizon Europe, is one of the world's largest programmes for innovation and research. The programme will allocate 95.5 billion euros over seven years from 2021.

Norwegian companies and research organisations can participate in line with colleagues and partners in other European countries.

Research Council of Norway

The Research Council of Norway (NFR) is a national research funding body. It is the most important research policy advisor for the government, the ministries and other central institutions and environments related to research and development (R&D).
