About the study location

Most of ICPA's educational and scientific activities take place in the main campus, located in the historic and charismatic city of Barcelos. Despite its youth, its academic performance and applied research make IPCA a benchmark institution with a reputation for excellence at national and international level, with its duly accredited and innovative training offer. IPCA has five Schools in the fields of Design, Management, Hospitality and Tourism and Technology, which offer a wide range of Bachelor’s (1st Cycle), Master’s (2nd Cycle), Professional Higher Technical Courses (TeSP) and non-degree specialization programmes, in daytime, after-work and distance learning. A diverse student population together with the teaching and administrative staff make IPCA an important reference in the Portuguese higher education panorama.

Shorter exchange possibility

Exchange students from non-EU/EEA countries must apply for a visa/study permit before entering the country of destination. Generally, students must be able to satisfy the financial documentation in order to be issued visa. For more information, go to:Visa - IPCA

All exchange students must have valid health insurance, regardless of their nationalities. Students may be expected to purchase health care insurance for the duration of their stay, in addition to the insurance the students have from their home countries. EU/EEA students must bring their EHIC card. Non-EU/EEA students need to show that they have valid health insurance that covers their whole stay. For more information, go to: Insurance - IPCA
