Experience an exchange in the happiest country in the world, Finland! We are home to 16,500 students, including over 2,000 international students from around the world. Our beautiful campuses in Joensuu and Kuopio are home to a nice mix of Finnish and international students. The atmosphere is international, yet Finnish, and the compact nature of our campuses makes it easy for students to mix and mingle across disciplines.In addition to campus life and academics, our Student Union (ISYY) organizes numerous activities to immerse yourself in Finnish culture. To ensure a smooth transition to our campus cities and provide peer support, each exchange student will be paired with a trained student tutor. Joensuu is a lively city in North Karelia where one in three residents is under 25, and it hosts frequent cultural festivals, riverfront cafés, and access to extensive forest trails.
