Please note that exchange students who are non-EU/EEA nationals will need a visa and/or residence permit. They must request their visa or residence permit through the University/the Immigration Service Desk. All exchange students are responsible for securing their health insurance prior to studying in the Netherlands, regardless of their nationalities. EU/EEA students must bring EHIC card. Non-EU/EEA students must have a valid health insurance that covers their whole stay at the University of Groningen.
