Study Abroad
In the fifth semester, the students have the opportunity to study abroad at one of our many partner universities in the world. The students can choose which partner university they want to travel to for taking courses (30 credits). The exchange must be within the framework of Nord University and the Business School for studying abroad. This exchange provides a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in topics that the student finds interesting. We consider exchange as a natural part of being able to understand global challenges and changes and manage cultural and institutional differences.
General information about exchange is available on the Student pages on our website. For questions about exchange, please contact the international advisor at the Business School. Contact information of the advisor can be found in the same link as above.
The Business School has many partner universities in different countries and continents. An overview and more information about our partner universities can be found here.
Requirements for content:
The total scope of the courses taken must amount to 30 credits. Approximately half of the credits must be an in-depth study within subject area of business, or relevant adjacent areas. Through the specialization, the students must have the opportunity to acquire knowledge, skills and competence in a chosen area, which can later be used in the work on the bachelor's thesis. The other half is electives. These can be a further deepening in the business subject areas, but they can also be within other subject areas that make the students better equipped to perform business functions in an organisation.
The course is only open to students in the study program Bachelor in Business Administration.
Students who want to go on exchange must apply to Nord University within the deadline of January 20th in the spring semester before they go abroad. It is recommended to contact the international advisor at the Business School for counseling regarding what partner university can be a good fit for the student.
The application form and contact information of the international advisor can be found here.

The student is responsible for covering costs such as travel, visa application, and insurance. In some cases, the student must pay a tuition fee, but this depends on the partner institution.
Students with Norwegian citizenship can apply for support from Lånekassen to go on exchange. Go to Lånekassen's website for more information.
There are also scholarship programs available that the student can apply to. Available scholarship programs depend on what partner university the student applies to.
Students going on exchange are exempt from the semester fee at Nord University.
