The candidate:
- Can facilitate interaction in classes and groups in grades 5-10, and analyse activities with reference to community and learning
- Can use research-based and empirical knowledge to work systematically with the school's learning community and psychosocial surroundings.
- Can plan and participate in research-based school development, both individual and in cooperation with others, and evaluate development measures in light of the school's mandate and differing pedagogical perspectives.
- Can critically analyze and utlise the school's basic values.
- Can identify and discuss ethical questions in the pedagogical field.
General competence
The candidate:
- Can analyze and participate in debates about school development and school politics in society.
- Can inspire to engagement, creativity and formation of opinion in and among pupils.
- can identify and analyze challenges in the pluralistic school, and utilize the inherent opportunities diversity provides.
The teacher education programme has a focus on professional practice. Active participating in teaching and learning, and cooperative learning are essential.
Participation in all planned learning activities is compulsory. Teaching is organised into year groups, classes and tutorial groups.
The programme is designed to facilitate learning in a range of arenas and contexts, including lectures, online meetings, study groups, seminar groups, professional practice and discussions forums. Independent study is also an important part of learning.
Supervision forms part of the learning and teaching process. During supervision, students are encouraged to participate actively in identifying, exploring and solving problems.
Compulsory participation (OD): Participation in at least 80 % of all planned learning activities. Grading scale: Approved/Not Approved
Compulsory coursework (OA): 4 tasks, which must be passed in order to access the final examination. Grading scale: Passed/Not passed
Individual, written school exam: Seventh semester. Written, individual assessment, 8 hours. Accounts for 25 % of the overall grade. Grading scale: Grade A-F.
Portfolio (MA): Eighth semester. Accounts for 35 % of the overall grade. Grading scale: Grade A-F.
Oral examination (MU): Eighth semester. Oral examination in groups. Accounts for 40 % of the overall grade. Grading scale: Grade A-F.
