Business English II
- Become familiar with effective methods for the development of good written and oral language skills
- Develop the practical communication skills necessary to be an effective communicator
- Explore the background of the finance and corporate sectors and further their language study in this context
- Anticipate coming trends in the business world through study of English language business media sources (and to participate in this discussion)
Weekly classes that include practice in English language skills. The English for Business Students textbook (McKenzie, Ian) and Niall Fergusen's Ascent of Money are required. Other course material will be made available on Canvas, and includes texts such as

Participation in the lectures is not compulsory, but all students must submit weekly assignments and complete a presentation in order to sit for the exam in the course.
Students are provided short answer and essay questions in a written exam to demonstrate their skill and mastery of course content. Practice exams are provided on Canvas.
NOTE: Spring 2021: The written school examination has been changed to home examination.
