Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Apply knowledge-based nursing in the care of the elderly and chronically ill
- Initiate and implement innovative processes
- Lead and administrate nursing provision for individuals, groups, families and co-workers and contribute to training
- Contribute to a health promotive and including work environment
- Interdisciplinary and interdepartmental cooperation in every level of the organisation
- Utilise relevant aids, procedures and documentation
- Teach and guide patients and families
- Safeguard the patient¿s need for preventive and rehabiliatative measures
- Evaluate how different perspectives in ageing and the elderly can influence the provision of nursing and the elderly¿s experience of their life situation
No costs except semester registration fee and syllabus literature.
Compulsory.
Individual and group guidance from the University's faculty. Follow-ups made by nurse preceptors in the clinical field area.
The study programme is evaluated annually by students by way of course evaluation studies (mid-term evaluation and final evaluation). These evaluations are included in the university¿s quality assurance system.
