Introduction to Norwegian History
This semester package offers a wide introduction to Norwegian history from the medieval to the modern period.
Programme description
This semester package offers a wide introduction to Norwegian history from the medieval to the modern period and is recommended for history students who want to use their semester at Nord University to expand their knowledge about the history of their host country. It is also recommended to students who study sociology, cultural studies, political science, or literature, as there will be many theoretical overlaps that can be interesting for students from these disciplines as well. We also recommend the package to students from MINT disciplines to widen their intellectual horizon while staying at Nord University during an exchange semester. The course instructions and readings will all be in English.
This is not a formalized study program, but a combination of courses recommended for exchange students. Students can also choose other electives/course combination at the faculty of social sciences.
