Programme description

The semester package Nordic Politics and Society focuses on the Nordic countries, emphasizing the northern resources, politics and features of the Nordic societies. The semester package consist of three courses of 10 ECTS (studiepoeng) each, and is designed for exchange students. The courses are also offered as part of the one year program in circumpolar studies, as well as being popular as electives for all undergraduate degrees within students within politcs and social sciences.

This is not a formalized study program, but a combination of courses recommended for exchange students. Students can also choose other electives/course combination at the faculty of social sciences.

Career opportunities

Building knowledge about the Nordic countries, politics, societies, indigenous peoples and topical items, the programme is relevant for a wide range of jobs.

This semester package is offered for students coming for exchange to Nord University.

The semester programme will give undergraduate level ECTS that can supplement degrees with electives within political and social sciences.

The students are expected to pay for the syllabus literature and to possess a laptop.

Exchange students are exempt from paying semester and tuition fees.

Citizens of the EU/EEA/EFTA are exempt from tuition fees.
