Research group

Leadership, organisations and society

The purpose of the research group is to promote leadership, organisational, and societal development that responds to complex global and national trends and changes.

The research group aims to advance leadership, organisational, and societal development that addresses complex global and national trends and transformations. Global trends such as digitalisation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, climate change, geopolitics, as well as increasing disasters and critical events, bring extensive changes locally to both the public and private sectors, and to the forms and future of working life. Through publishing scientific research in recognised journals, teaching at the Business School, and active participation in public discourse, the group contributes new insights and understanding to both the academic community and professional practice.

The group takes a broad and interdisciplinary approach to theoretical perspectives and empirical contexts, which makes us particularly relevant for both academic research and practical applications. With an extensive international network and several externally funded research projects, the group is well-positioned to develop new knowledge and innovative solutions that shape future practices in leadership, organisation, and society at both national and international levels.

The research group is strongly committed to dissemination through teaching, lectures, and participation in public debates, and we are open to collaboration on outreach activities to reach a wider audience. In addition, we have extensive experience with commissioned research and are open to collaboration with other academic environments, businesses, network organisations, as well as public and non-profit organisations. Through such partnerships, we contribute to developing research-based solutions that are relevant to both academia and practice. We encourage you to get in touch for a conversation about opportunities for collaboration, both in dissemination and research projects.

The research group is part of the Marketing, Organisation and Management Division at the Business School.
