This scholarship covers 3 days science communication training, along with travel, accommodation, and partial meal expenses from 22–27 September and participation in the SEA-EU Science Show during Science Day on 26 September. The entire event will be held on-site at Kiel University.
Applications shall consist of a short CV and abstract of their research. The deadline for submission is 10 August. The application shall be sent to uevert@gz.uni-kiel.de (cc. umair.n.mughal@nord.no).
A maximum of two researchers from the same university will be selected by an internal committee at Kiel University.
WHO?
PhD/doctoral researchers from any discipline who are currently studying or employed at one of the SEA EU Universities .Preference to candidates with a passion for science communication in general
WHEN?
Arrival must be on Monday, 22 September and departure on Saturday, 27 September 2025.
WHAT?
The scholarship includes:
- a 3 day science communication training workshop from 23 25 September in Kiel (in person)
- a 5-7 minutes public presentation of your research at the Science Day in Kiel on 26 September (in person), and a feedback session in October (online)
Participation in all sessions is mandatory when accepting the scholarship. All sessions are held in English.
HOW MUCH?
The scholarship will cover transportation costs, incl. flights, trains and airport transfers (only second class/economy travel, no taxis).
Accommodation costs, booking of hotels will be organised by Kiel University
