Oria Upgrade

Oria Upgrade
We’re upgrading Oria to a new and improved version!

On January 12, we will update the system behind Oria to a new version. This upgrade mainly focuses on infrastructure improvements aimed at enhancing functionality, responsiveness, and overall performance. While most of the changes happen “under the hood,” some user settings and saved items will also be affected:

  • Saved Favorites – Your favorites will be transferred to the new version. This will happen automatically and requires no action on your part.
  • Saved Links and Bookmarks – Oria will have a new base URL (the part before the actual search string). As a result, links to bibliographic records, searches, or search results will no longer work after the upgrade. We recommend recreating or updating your links after the transition.
  • Saved Searches and Search History – Unfortunately, these will not be transferred. If you wish to keep your searches, we recommend copying them into a document before the upgrade so you can easily recreate them later.
  • Personal Profile Settings – Settings related to personalization (e.g., search history and search preferences) will be reset and need to be configured again. We therefore recommend logging in and restoring your preferred settings after the upgrade.

During and immediately after the transition period, there may be minor disruptions or temporary issues. We are working to make the process as smooth as possible and appreciate your patience if something does not function as expected.

Reminder: If you set up email alerts for a saved search, you will be notified about new literature in your field.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the library.
