Sikkerhetssjef ved Nord universitet Cecilie Rabben og Ketil Lagesen bisto politiet i saken
On Tuesday, September 16, police were alerted that a man carrying a knife had been spotted near Nord University at Mørkved in Bodø. The alert came from staff members at Nord University.
Several patrols with armed police and dogs arrived at the university campus and searched for the man, both inside and outside the premises.
The search was called off Tuesday afternoon. According to Nord University’s current information, the individual was not found. Police have stated they will continue investigating the matter.
"We were kept informed throughout the incident”, said Cecile Rabben, Head of Security at Nord University. Rabben assisted the police in the case.
Nord University and Studentinord are in dialogue with the students who witnessed the incident, and all involved will be offered follow-up support.
